What is JobCarz ?
Our aim is to enable people from East Durham, who have been claiming benefit and have now secured employment, access to their new workplace through the provision of a car by JobCarz. The car can be used for both work and leisure and you are encouraged to treat the car as if it was your own.
How Much will it Cost ?
All servicing, MOT, Road Tax and insurance are paid for by jobCarz. All you need to do is fill the car with petrol and pay the weekly payments to fit in with your wage cycle. If you get paid monthly, you can pay us monthly. We aim to be as flexible as possible.
You may also be eligible to get some of your initial payments funded through Employment support agencies. Ask jobCarz for details and eligibility criteria.
The car is issued to you with a full tank of petrol, and is expected to be returned with the same. You will pay £30 per week for the rental of the car, but in many cases some of the weeks are being paid for by other agencies (e.g. JobCentre Plus and Shaw Trust).
Lift Share Scheme
If all JobCarz vehicles are out on loan, or you are unable to drive, the lift share facility offered as part of the JobCarz sceheme, may be an option.
This is where a current vehicle loanee who travels to work/home as another client at similar times can offer you a lift to and from work to share fuel costs.
